Last season, the boys tennis team won 8-1 over the Liberty Bolts. This year, the Trojans hosted Liberty  April 23, determined to sweep all singles and doubles matches against their crosstown rival. Although matches typically begin with doubles this season, both teams started out with singles and ended with doubles due to unprecedented rain. In under 30 minutes, Aryan Harwani ’29 defeated his opponent 6-0, 6-0, followed by No. 2 and No. 3 Singles Prabhas Gupta ’28 and Aaron Kang ’27 with a 6-1, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 win, respectively. Non-lineup members Matthew Dockery-Jackson ’28, Tommy Gao ’29 and Ethan Ding ’28 were also given a chance to display their skills this meet, winning at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively. 

After sweeping singles, the team headed into doubles strong. Making quick work at No. 1 doubles, Harwani and Pierce Hribar ’28 won 6-1, 6-0. To finish the meet, Kang and Gupta defeated their opponents 6-3, 6-1, and Dockery-Jackson and Gao won 6-2, 6-2.
