The West girls soccer team went to Liberty High School May 19 to face off against the Liberty Bolts. After a close game, the Bolts prevailed 2-0 against the Trojans.
The Trojans had 13 shots and five shots on goal. Goalie Lila Eastvold ’27 saved 11 shots on goal, leading the team with an 84.6% save rate.
After starting the season with a strong 7-1-1 record, the Trojans have lost four of their last five games, bringing the record to 8-5-1. Despite these losses, the team maintains its No. 13 ranking heading into the latter half of the season.
The Trojans will return for the Class 3A Region Five Semifinal against Dubuque Senior at Ed Barker Field June 2.
