West High boys soccer take on Southeast Polk High and Linn-Mar High

On May 5, the ninth-ranked West High boys soccer team took on third-ranked Southeast Polk High in a heated matchup. The Trojans would end up falling behind and losing the game 2-0. Following their loss, West would then play Linn-Mar High May 8, this time winning 5-0.

During Advanced Placement testing week for West High, the boys soccer team found themselves with more than just testing on their plate. On May 5 and 8, the boys had to prepare themselves for two intense matchups. They first played against third-ranked Southeast Polk High School on the fifth, and then against Linn-Mar High School three days later.

Despite it being a stressful and busy week for the student athletes, West High performed well at both games, losing 2-0 to Southeast Polk but winning 5-0 against Linn-Mar.

The West Boys soccer team now holds a record of 6-5-1. They hope to further widen their winning record with matches May 12 against Dubuque Senior High at Dubuque, and against Kennedy High School May 15 at home.
