Led by Head Coach Marshal Moellers, five players returned to the varsity team — Prabhas Gupta ’28, Pierce Hribar ’28, Aaron Kang ’27, Sudarshan Kasturirangan ’26 and Jensen Lin ’27 — along with five new members: Ethan Ding ’28, Tommy Gao ’29, Aryan Harwani ’29, Avi Jahangir ’27 and Matthew Dockery-Jackson ’28.
This year, varsity boys tennis switched to starting meets with doubles and ending with singles. In their first match of the season, West swept both doubles and singles. With a lineup composed primarily of underclassmen, the Trojans did not drop a single game in the first set of any of the three doubles matches.
In singles, Harwani, Hirabar and Gupta made quick work of their matches, defeating their opponents 6-0, 6-0 each at 1, 2 and 3 Singles, respectively. Additionally, Kang had a 6-2, 6-1 win at 4 Singles, and Dockery-Jackson and Gao had strong starts to their first varsity match, earning wins at 5 and 6 Singles, respectively.
