West High hosts annual blood drive

Through the Red Cross Club, West high hosts a blood drive on April 1.

This Friday West High will be hosting a blood drive through the red cross club from 9am-2pm. The Red Cross Club is a new club at West this year created by Andrew Dong ’24 . Anyone who is 16 years or older can donate blood and can save up to three lives through their donation.

I believe donating blood is one of the best ways for students to help their community in the sense that they are, quite literally, saving lives.

Students can fill out a form and choose what period they want to donate blood. This will be done by medical professionals brought into West by the Red Cross. Students who donate blood will receive food and a free t-shirt after their donation as well. There will be Red Cross volunteers from West to assist in check-in.
