Iowa City West High will host a blood drive for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21 and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 in the auditorium lobby. Donors must be 16 years of age or older and students need a signed parental consent to sign up with Mrs. Walling in Room 2.

Many medical treatments in the Iowa City area rely on blood donations to save lives. Without these blood donations, trauma surgery, cancer treatment and those receiving treatment for sickle cell disease and other blood treatments would not be able to be conducted. Additionally, all students who donate will be entered in a raffle for a $500 scholarship.
