Content from Boys Swimming’s Last Dual Home Meet of the Season
To some of the spectators, it may have been a typical boys swim meet. However, it was a very special meet for some of the swimmers because it was the last home meet for seniors against Waterloo West. Iowa City West won with a score of 113-57.
Robert Netolicky ’14 said that swimming has impacted him in many ways after being a member of the team for three years.
“[Swimming has] taught me a sense of community and it has helped me meet people that I couldn’t have without swimming,” Netolicky said.
For Carson Miller ’14, the team atmosphere was very important to him.
“After reaching out to others as the captain, swimming with my teammates has helped me rekindle my passion for the sport,” Miller said.
The teamwork and sense of community has contributed to their undefeated dual season and their number one ranking in the state.
The team is anticipating going to the state meet on Feb. 15.
