The math team won the Cedar Rapids Jefferson competition Wednesday the 8th with a sweepstakes score of 286.667 for varsity and 186 for Junior Varsity. In Varsity, Elizabeth Han ‘16, Junhee Lee ‘18 and Kevin Liu ‘18 won the Relay competition, and Eugenia Chen ‘17, Pranav Krishnamurthy ‘18 and Jeongwoo Seo ‘18 won Relay for Junior Varsity. For the Team competition, West Varsity 1 consisting of Han, Lee, Liu, Casey McClenathan ‘17, Amy Xiong ‘15 and Kai Trepka ‘16 won with a score of 90. In Junior Varsity, Chen, Krishnamurthy, Seo, Max Hill ‘17, Ryo Ohashi ‘17 and Joshua Kwok ‘17 won the Team competition.
On Sprint, Lee topped the ninth grade category, Tairqe Owais ‘17 was second in 10th, Han came in first for 11th and Xiong was the top scorer for 12th grade. In the Target competition, Lee once again was first, McClenathan was second in 10th grade, Minsoo Kim ‘16 scored second for 11th grade and Michael Dlouhy ‘15 came in second for 12th grade. Overall top scores were Lee in first place for 9th grade, McClenathan in second place for 10th grade, Han in second place for 11th grade and Xiong in second place for 12th grade.
