If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be doing it." -Steve Bowers // This photo of the week was taken by photo editor Sarah Longmire: I took this photo of Steve Bowers, one of ICCSD'S bus drivers, for a print article about unsung heroes. I first met Bowers on Friday after he dropped all the students off at school. While in the school parking lot, many students walked by, waved and said hi to him. It was very clear he was well-liked by the students. Bowers then told me about his 1976 Volkswagen bus pictured above and let me come out and take a picture of it at his home. Taking photos for this story has helped me to learn so much more about the story behind people we don't always hear about. I'd encourage people to think about the unsung heroes in their lives, get to know them and thank them for everything they do. For more on Bowers and many others, be sure to read the print publication on Feb. 17.
