The muffins come out of the oven with a nice golden-brown color. To check if theyre done, stick a toothpick into the muffins, if it comes out clean, theyre ready, if not, put them back into the oven for a couple more minutes.

To begin, place the Oreos into a zip-lock plastic bag and crush them up, then mix them in with the measured cream cheese.

The completed muffins have been dipped into melted chocolate and decorated with mini marshmallows and candy canes.

The completed cake balls have been dipped in the melted white chocolate and stacked onto skewers, using mini Oreos as the hats of the cake ball snowmen.

The rest of the ingredients are mixed together to make the batter.

The sugar and butter are added into a mixer together.

The cake balls have been formed into small balls using our hands, then placed onto a cookie sheet where they cooled in the refrigerator for a while.

The white chocolate has been measured and is ready to be melted in the microwave. After the cake balls have cooled in the fridge, dip them into the melted chocolate.

This recipe calls for Oreos, white chocolate and cream cheese.

A boy works on the collaborative centerpiece of the event, a 30’ by 50’ recreation of Norman Rockwell’s “Dugout” from the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. Artists volunteering to work on the piece were each given a 2’ by 2’ square to fill in.

On Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, hundreds of people went to Mount Vernon to participate in the 12th annual Chalk the Walk. Over 500 artists were featured at the event this year.
