With COVID-19 positivity rates at 22.2%, the ICCSD school board has decided to request another waiver from the Department of Education to continue teaching students enrolled in the hybrid learning model in an online-only format.

“If after a month, we think things are up and going, we can get to our hybrid plan,” said ICCSD Interim Superintendent Matt Degner.

Due to the district being denied local control over school closures in a recent court case, the Department of Education will have to approve the waiver.
