The time has finally come. Heroes of Troy were announced a couple of days ago at the 2022 Homecoming dance. Congratulations to the winners: Paige Albright ‘23, Krisha Kapoor ’23, Audrey Parrish ’23, Jayden Shin ’23, Hebah War ’23 and Joseph Alarpe ’23.

In order to make West High more inclusive, they made the decision to change the old tradition of a homecoming court into a system that honors top students. Thus, the Heroes of Troy system was born last year, in 2021. In order to be qualified to be a Hero of Troy, you must be nominated by a junior or senior because of your merit, involvement at West, leadership, and dedication to the school. It’s clear that this year’s winner honored these characteristics. Congratulations to the nominees and winners.
