Many athletes at West dream of competing at the next level. WSS interviews Austin West ’18 about his athletic success and what he learned at West High that has carried over to the next level of sport and academics. West is now an All-American decathlete for the University of Iowa, as well as a graduate student. But a few years ago, he was a student here at West who hoped to play baseball in the future.
