The Cedar Rapids Kennedy Cougars took down the Trojans last night in an intense, must-watch matchup.

The West High gym was home to another intense basketball game last night. The stands were packed on Tuesday night with students sporting Hawaiian shirts and leis for “beach-out”. The Cougars are currently the number one ranked team in Iowa, according to Bound, with an 18-0 record. The Trojans follow close behind them, with Bergmann’s squad being ranked at the number two spot with a 15-2 record. Coming off a busy weekend with a 47-35 win against the Liberty Lightning on Friday and a 69-39 win against Burlington on Saturday, the Trojans were ready to battle it out again.

The game was an intense matchup, ultimately ending with the Cougars taking the win back to Cedar Rapids. The team will be back at West Feb. 10 against Dubuque Hempstead. After a long road trip, the girls will be back at home against Cedar Rapids Washington celebrating senior night Feb. 9. Check out some photos from the night below.
