Local rescue or shelter dogs were gathered together on Thursday, Oct. 12 to participate in a charity event, called “Fashion to the Rescue.” This was first established last year by the Iowa Fashion Project and Friends of the Animal Center Foundation (FACF) to raise money for local animal shelters. The success attributed to last year’s event enabled it to happen again. The 2017 show was organized by local designer, Born Leaders United, and FACF, and took place outdoors at the Iowa River Landing.
