The story of the Black Angel dates way back to the 1800s. Myths and legends are spread amongst Iowa City locals, and some even dare to go visit the cursed statue at the Oakland Cemetery. Join Thayer Abu Hijleh ’22 and Camille Gretter ’23 as they share some of the most popular myths about the monument.
