Boys golf hosts senior night

The boys golf team hosted a tournament and held their senior night at Finkbine golf course on September 29th.

On Thursday, the boys’ golf team headed down the road from west high to Finkbine golf course where they competed against Prairie, City and Liberty High School. Along with the tournament, they also celebrated the team’s six seniors: Trey Montgomery, Owen Larson, Brady Simcox, Nate Anderson, Harrison Reimers and Luke Johnson.

Junior Dillon Croco placed first for West with an individual score of 38 tying with Ashton Carmer from Prairie. He also scored second overall with first place taken by Tanner Wachtl of Cedar Rapids Prairie, with a score of 37. West High placed second overall with a combined team score of 166. Prairie took first with a score of 158, Liberty took third with a score of 169 and City took fourth with a score of 170.
