Iowa City West Math Club wins at Cedar Rapids Jefferson

The Iowa City West High School Math Club competed on Saturday, January 12 th at the Cedar Rapids
Jefferson Math Invitational. For the overall sweepstakes results in the large school division, both the
West High Junior Varsity team earned and the West High Varsity team finished in 1 st place.

Individual winners from West High include:

Sprint Event:

9th grade: Jun-Hee Lee, 1st place

11th grade: Anna Furlong, 2nd place tie; Hilah Kohen, 2nd place tie

12th grade: Trevor Clinkenbeard, 1st place; Ivan Ye, 2nd place; Ben Sheff, 3rd place tie; Jiahang Zou,
3rd place tie
