Trojan cross country teams races at Spartan Challenge

The boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Spartan Challenge in Bettendorf Sept. 4.

Both the boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf to compete at the Spartan Challenge on Sept. 4. The girls cross country team placed seventh with 207 points and the boys cross country team placed fifth with 107 points.

Alex McKane ’22 defended his course title with a time of 16:19. Junior Seth Cheney ’23 finished ninth in 17:03 while teammate Caden Noeller ’22 finished 23rd in 17:27.

 

The girls cross country team was led by sophomore Gabby Moniza, who finished the race 21st with a time of 20:30. Cindy Wang ’24 finished shortly after, finishing 26th (20:38). Annie Schwartz ’23 placed 49th with a time of 21:36.

The girls and boys cross country teams will compete at the Cedar Rapids Invitational on Sept. 9.
