Friday the 13th brought Brad Stiles and the Trojan boys soccer team everything but an unlucky night on the pitch against Cedar Rapids Jefferson. The Trojans extended their win streak to 11 after taking down the J-Hawks 5-0 on May 13.

Leading scorer Michael Nelson ’23 found the back of the net only a minute into the night to set the tone and give West an early 1-0 lead.

Sophomore Ismail Mohamed scored his first goal of season after he made his defender miss on a breakaway to extend the Trojans lead to two fourteen minutes into the game.

Nelson found Ben Nkolobise ’22 open in the box where he converted just minutes later to send West into halftime up 3-0.

Amre Ibrahim ’23 joined the scoring party to start the second half after he made it 4-0 Trojans off a Ruichar Medina ’23 corner kick.

The boys soccer team capped off their second to last regular season game with another goal to runaway with their eleventh straight win by a final score of 5-0.

The Trojans will be back in action against Xavier on May 17 to celebrate senior night before heading into postseason play.
