Losing some big seniors last year showed in West’s loss to Kennedy on Dec. 1. With no seniors in the varsity lineup, several freshmen made their high school varsity debut including Campbell Janis and Alexander Pierce who won by major decision and fall respectively.

Sterling Warren ’25 started off strong with a win by decision. Justin Avila ’25 pinned his opponent in the second period, putting West ahead 9-6. Kyler Scranton added six points to the lead after a win by fall. Trailing Kennedy 33-25, Braden Doyle ’24 got a quick pin, but it wasn’t enough, and West lost 44-31.

The boys will be back in action at home on Dec. 6 for a scrimmage.
