Boys and girls track and field qualifies for state in 24 events

During the Class 4A district track and field meet on May 13, both teams competed for a chance to qualify for the state meet in Des Moines.

Many runners and throwers got their tickets to state punched at the Class 4A district meet on May 13, giving Trojan fans plenty of athletes to watch at the three-day state meet at Drake University. Both teams combined will have competitors in 24 different events in Des Moines from May 20-22. Below is a list of all West High athletes that qualified:

Boys:

100-meter dash- Mason Applegate ’22

200-meter dash- Fabian Brown ’21
